Living in Pasadena, CA

Countless people dream of moving to LA – but for those who would rather step away from the busy lifestyle of this Californian county, we would recommend taking a closer look at the city of Pasadena. Luxury properties are just one of many things that we’ve fallen in love with about this location, and we want to help you to determine whether or not this is the right place for you to move.

Here are just a few interesting facts and pieces of advice that we want to share with you:

The City of Roses

In general, this city is popular for hosting one of the most famous post-season football games in the US; the Rose Bowl. This originally started as The Tournament of the Roses in 1890, featuring tug-of-war, chariot races, and even a parade. Football was introduced in 1902, and overtook the tournament to become the Rose Bowl that is so well loved today.

This is where the name “the City of Roses” comes from; unfortunately, it isn’t the ideal environment for growing these flowers.

The job market in Pasadena

For many individuals considering moving, understanding how much the average person makes can be a crucial factor. The average male will make around $70,000 a year, where women tend to earn less, often getting roughly $57,000. One benefit is that the unemployment rate here is very attractive indeed – and at 3.5%, it’s considerably lower than the state (and even national) average.

The average climate of the city

Typically, Pasadena has quite hot weather – although due to its position (being both further inland and higher than most of LA when concerning the sea level), most will find that the summers are warmer and the winters are colder than the rest of Los Angeles. Not many people come for the climate, often prioritizing the luxury homes and lifestyle, but the good news is that most properties will be built to provide comfort to residents at all times of the year.

Things to see and do in Pasadena

Exploring the many wonders of the city isn’t just something for tourists to enjoy! We’d advise anyone living in Pasadena to:

  • Check out the Eaton Canyon Nature Reserve (ideal for those who want to enjoy some outdoor activities)
  • Shop in the incredible Old Town (trust us, the name doesn’t reflect this luxury and trendy location!)
  • Head into Los Angeles and enjoy the many fantastic things there (from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, to Disneyland)

Is Pasadena the best choice?

There are many amazing locations in LA alone that could be a good place for you to live, but we’re sure that you’ll fall in love with everything that makes Pasadena so special.

These are just few of the things which we think can make life here so interesting. So be sure to come and check out some of Pasadena’s most beautiful luxury homes & properties for you to move in and make sure that you experience everything that the city has to offer.
